Actually they aren't "true" Americans either. Their ancestors came to North America via the Bering Straight. So there aren't any true Americans as we are all immigrants. Some just got here sooner.

Football is different because of divisions. So, by the way you look at things, even though Burton was 13-0 headed into the championship game and had soundly beaten every opponent to that point, and arguably got screwed out of the state title, they're not winners? If that's the case there's only 6 winning teams in the whole state of VA in football, and only 3 in every other sport. Good thing you don't live in KY or you'd be really disappointed since they only have classifications in football and nothing else [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

How is Football any different? Region D sends 2 representatives out of the region. And after the regular season those teams can't lose even once though(unlike B-Ball). So, in fact the road there is not as easy as in B-Ball. And I never said a team couldn't be a "winning team" without a state championship. A State Championship is the prize everyone is after tho. And if you're gonna talk smack, it would be good to have won one or at least competed for one in the sport the team involved plays. As for the argument over how important district or regional championships are...all ya have to do is look at the faces of a team's members when they lose at State. At that point that district or regional championship means squat. Sayin ya won the region is only a consolation prize. And as for Ky only having divisions in Football...all I have to say is you play with the rules you are given. If that was what I had always known was no divisions, I wouldn't care less if there were divisions or not. Not everyone whines about the size of school they compete against.

All I'm saying is that IMO if GC can only beat them by 5 without him, they would have been in trouble had he played.

If you seen any of the game all you would have realized that their guards played great and not to take anything away from Fisher but I really don't see how they would have played much better with him even though he as a great player. It takes five people to make a solid team.

Tell me what actually prooves that? It is just another opinion. Are there documents that prove that? Just because someone writes it in a history book doesnt make it so. I am sorry but I do not believe it. What I do believe is that the Creator put my ancestors here.
My point about football being different is this, PV beats Appy, PV is d2, therefore Appy doesn't have to beat them to win the state title.

Well GC is D2 in football and Castlewood is d1 in football. Castlewood doesn't necessiarily have to beat GC to win state in B-Ball. That's not much of an argument since ya don't even have to win your region to move on in b-ball. That , IMO, more than makes up for the lack of divisions. I think if ya lose out in region you should go home. Each region champ duke it out. But they are given another life. In FB ya don't get that so I don't see B-Ball playoffs bein more difficult than FB.

Yeah, but in football there could be several teams from one district make the playoffs and in basketball there can only be 2 [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
